The United States and Mexico will face off Tuesday night in a FIFA World Cup qualifier at Columbus Crew Stadium in Columbus, Ohio. The United States Men’s National Team, which is 23-0-2 in its last 25 home qualifiers, can clinch a World Cup berth with a win against Mexico and a win or tie by Honduras.

According to numbers from SeatGeek, tickets for the World Cup qualifier are going for an average of $294 on the secondary market. That makes this the most expensive soccer game on U.S. soil that SeatGeek has ever recorded. It should be noted that this isn’t necessarily the most expensive U.S. soccer game of all time, especially considering that the 1994 World Cup was held in the United States.

Of the top-5 most in-demand matches on the list, Tuesday’s qualifier is the only one that involves the U.S. Men’s National Team. The other matches were Argentina vs. Brazil at MetLife Stadium (average price of $153), AC Milan vs. Real Madrid at Yankee Stadium (average price of $161), Manchester United vs. Barcelona at FedEx Field (average price of $194) and Chelsea vs. Manchester City at Busch Stadium (average price of $203).

Part of the spike in ticket prices can be attributed to stadium size. Columbus Crew Stadium will seat about 24,000 for Tuesday’s match, making tickets more difficult to come by.

But those who shelled out the extra money should be in for an amazing match.

(Thanks again to SeatGeek for the numbers.)
