Punchlines: Is Trump in denial, or are we?

Even as another major commercial outlet drops rising political star Donald Trump (Macy's recently announced that it will no longer carry his line of menswear) his likability among potential GOP voters seems to be growing. According to a recent CNN/ORC poll, Trump now rates second nationally, behind former Florida governor Jeb Bush.

While Trump may be in denial about how much his off-the-cuff and offensive remarks have been getting him into business trouble (on Twitter, he implied that Macy's was the problem, not him), it's hard to deny how popular his brazen political style has become with the public. But the late-night comics, like many who analyze the news, seem to be wondering where this political popularity is coming from. Jimmy Kimmel implied that Macy's should have held onto the real estate mogul. Where else are they going to get the hot air they use to blow up floats for the Thanksgiving Day Parade? And speaking of fashion, Conan O'Brien reveals how others can get the famous Trump hairdo.

Take a look at our favorite jokes from last night's late-night lineup, then vote for yours in the quick poll to the right. Watching from your smartphone or tablet? Then visit opinion.usatoday.com to cast your ballot.
