In one whirlwind year, former Chicago Bulls star Dennis Rodman visited North Korea, launched his own vodka brand, wrote a children’s book about a bull named Dennis, and filmed s weird commercial about pistachios. Despite his efforts, GQ’s Drew Magary named him the least influential person in 2013. His reasoning is pretty solid.

Via GQ:

He was the first prominent American celebrity invited inside the nation-sized prison that is North Korea, and he did literally the least interesting thing possible with it…. Dennis Rodman is a Q-list celebrity willing to commit borderline treason just to hang out with a dictator who himself aspires to be a Q-list celebrity.

Paula Deen, Anthony Weiner, Justin Bieber, and Pope Benedict XVI rounded out the top 5.
