Large parts of the USA are beyond cold. It is so freaking freezing that...

1. An escaped prisoner in Kentucky turned himself in to combat the cold air. That's how freezing!

2. Parts of Georgia, Maryland, Michigan, Mississippi, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee (I'm getting tired of typing all of these), Virginia and West Virginia broke low-temperature records.

3. Three brothers built a 16-foot snow shark in their parents' front yard in Minnesota. Those are some crazy snow artists.

4. Chicago's resident polar bear at the Lincoln Park Zoo stayed indoors. Now, that's cold.

5. In Minnesota, the record for AAA roadside assistance calls was shattered, with 3,000 members calling on Monday.

6. More than 500 Amtrak passengers spent the night on three stopped trains headed to Chicago because of blowing and drifting snow in northern-central Illinois.

7. WKYC in Cleveland ordered a set befitting the frigid temperatures.
