LOS ANGELES — We asked you to name the app you couldn't live without, and you answered!

Many, many responses poured in over the weekend to #Cantlivewithoutapps on Twitter, and they're still coming in. We asked you to to name the obvious candidates, like Instagram and Twitter, but also to get creative. Here are some of your more interesting picks:

GoodReads (Free; Apple, Android, Windows): "A must when hunting for the next best read," says Karen Ehlers from Dallas, Texas.

Mailbox (Free; Apple) for helping to sort through mountains of e-mail, says Ben Lehberger from Stamford, Conn.

— MyRadar (Free; Apple, Android) for checking weather, is the pick for Pam Hunter, an elementary school principal in Oklahoma. Adds Sally Gober of Pennsylvania. "Love it! Use it! Check it constantly."

Knit Companion (Free; Apple) is the choice for Sandra Marra, from Georgia.

— Without C25K, (Free; Apple) for training for 5Ks, "I wouldn't be in running condition," says Tavius Jefferson from Atlanta.

Breaking News (Free Apple, Android) for Allen Bedgood from Topkea, Kansas. "I like to be informed."

Whatscall (Free; Apple, Android) is the choice for Jeroen Goddijn of Amsterdam. "To stay in touch with my international friends and girlfriend."

— Tripit (Free; Apple, Android, BlackBerry) is "awesome for traveling," says Robin Eschliman of Lincoln, Nebraska.

— Shazam (Free; Apple, Android, Windows) because "I hate not knowing what song is on the radio," says Belen De Leon of Denver.
