Religious leaders condemn the aliens but corporate and political leaders see only opportunities. The world is soon divided along religious and secular lines and John is torn between his secular, worldly life that he knows and his ill-fated love of Angela, a woman unlike any other he has ever known.

STEAMPUNK

Don't Touch by Barbara Taub (Taliesin Publishing). Book two in the Null City series. Hope flares each morning in the tiny flash of a second before Lette touches that first thing. And destroys it.
