'New Yorker' magazine mocks Weiner in new cover

The cover of the Aug. 5 issue of the New Yorker magazine lampoons mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner.

The New Yorker magazine is out with its new issue featuring a scathing cartoon on the cover mocking mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner.

The image is an homage to King Kong, but rather than a giant ape, it is Weiner, the fallen Congressman, straddling the spire of the Empire State Building and taking a photo of it between his legs with a smart phone.

Weiner quit Congress when it was revealed he had sent explicit texts to women on social media; this week he admitted that the sexting continued after he quit Congress. He has rejected calls to quit the New York City mayors race.
