Jaw-dropping one-handed touchdown catch helps Central Florida avoid upset

The Temple Owls came tantalizingly close to upsetting the No. 19 Central Florida Knights at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia Saturday, but a miraculous one-handed touchdown catch with just over a minute remaining saved the Knights. Temple took a seven-point lead on a short touchdown pass to Chris Parthemore with 2:04 remaining, but UCF drove 70 yards in four plays, capped off by this unbelievable 30-yard touchdown to J.J. Worton.

The Owls turned the ball over with an interception on their next possession, handing the ball to UCF with 28 seconds on the clock. On the Knights’ first play, Blake Bortles hit Rannell Hall for a 64-yard completion, allowing kicker Shawn Moffitt to win the game with a 24-yard field goal as time expired.
