The wait is over! Baby giraffe born at S.C. zoo

The baby is here! A baby giraffe was born at the Greenville Zoo on Tuesday. The birth was captured via EarthCam, a service which allows anyone with internet access to tune in and watch the Greenville Zoo's giraffe exhibit up close.

The wait is over!

Autumn, a giraffe whose pregnancies have garnered lots of attention in the past, gave birth at the Greenville Zoo, in Greenville, S.C., early Tuesday morning.

The birth was captured via EarthCam, a service which allows anyone with internet access to tune in and watch the Greenville Zoo's giraffe exhibit up close.

The Greenville Zoo posted a photo of the newborn on Tuesday with the caption, "stronger every minute."

Autumn is no stranger to an audience. Thousands watched for weeks leading up to the birth of her first calf, Kiko, born on October 22, 2012.

Her second calf was stillborn on August 20, 2014.
