'Friends' and 'Cougar Town' alum Courteney Cox will star in 'Charity Case,' a comedy pilot for Fox.

Courteney Cox is giving TV comedy another shot, producing and starring in Charity Case, a pilot ordered Tuesday by Fox.

Cox, who most recently starred in Cougar Town on ABC and TBS, joins fellow Friends alum Matt LeBlanc in the current pilot season. LeBlanc will produce and star in I'm Not Your Friend, a pilot ordered Monday by CBS.

The two will appear together with three other Friends cast members on a Feb. 21 NBC special honoring James Burrows, who has directed episodes of Friends and other classic comedies, including Cheers, Will & Grace and Taxi.

In Case, a single-camera comedy, Cox will play Hailey, who "inherits her late billionaire husband's charity (and) quickly finds that changing the world is far less glamorous than she had imagined."
