Sanders searches for one nice thing about Trump

Bernie Sanders was stumped on The View Wednesday when asked to say one nice thing about GOP front-runner Donald Trump.

“What can I say?” he asked.

As the crowd laughed, The View’s hosts tossed out suggestions, such as Trump's “nice ties” or even something about his hair.

Sanders drew laughter and applause when he deadpanned, “Humble.”

The Vermont independent, and winner of last night’s New Hampshire Democratic primary, had an easier time when asked about Hillary Clinton, whom he described as “intelligent.” Words that came to mind for Ohio GOP Gov. John Kasich were “old friend,” and for Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, “loud.”

Sanders, who played basketball last night with his family while awaiting New Hampshire returns, got to play another round of hoops with his high-heeled hosts during his appearance. And he got his first taste of his very own ice cream flavor, “Bernie’s Yearning” by Ben & Jerry’s.

“Excellent!” he said of the pint, which says it contains “a political revolution inside.” “I’m not just saying it because it’s Bernie’s Yearning.”

Sanders addressed the possibility of former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg entering the race. Bloomberg has said he’s considering a run, a possibility that The View host Joy Behar noted would steal votes more votes from a Democrat than a Republican in a general election if he ran as an independent.

“I couldn’t live with that if the result was that we elected some right-wing Republican to become president of the United States,” Sanders said. “I would hope Mayor Bloomberg would give some thought to that.”
