LOS ANGELES - Facebook wants to take on Apple with a new digital assistant that goes beyond what you've seen with Siri.

Facebook's "M" in the Messenger app will complete the task, and even have real humans doing things like making reservations for you.

M is being tested in the San Francisco area as part of the Messenger app, and we dive in and ponder how it might work for us on this week's #talkingtechLIVE roundtable podcast.

Also on our roster this week: We look at Instagram's new look--photographers no longer can only upload photos in the square format--how big a deal is that? We look at how the airport experience will be, now that Uber and Lyft have been cleared to operate at Los Angeles International Airport, discuss the growing trend of vertical video and autoplay video.
