Check out some hot new romance books

Special for USA TODAY
Weekends are for reading romances.

Contributors to Happy Ever After, USA TODAY's blog devoted to romance novels, recommended some new romances this week:

Fans of the Impossible Life by Kate Scelsa. This story was so interesting. The dynamic between Sebby, Mira and Jeremy is crazy — unhealthy yet beautiful in its own way. I wouldn't call this a love story between the three, but more about the love between Sebby and Mira. Jeremy is allowed to become a part of their world. The author opens a lot of issues up that teens are going through. Sometimes it may seem like too many, but it works. The blurb needs work, because the book is so much more and different, and that, dear readers, is a very good thing. (Recommended by Jessie Potts)

Firewalker by Josephine Angelini.

Firewalker by Josephine Angelini. This series has been one of my favorites, not just for reading but also for listening! Both Josephine and narrator Emma Galvin have brought these characters to life in ways that make it impossible not to grip my e-reader or phone tighter in anticipation (depending on if I'm listening or reading … I'm sure fellow drivers out there think I'm crazy). In Firewalker, we get to see more of Lily and Lillian, Rowan and Lily's Tristan, and that cliffhanger … gah! If you haven't already, you need to pick up Trial by Fire. It's fantastic, and Josephine's ingenious world(s) will keep you interested and fascinated. (Recommended by Jessie Potts)

Sacked by Jen Frederick. Frederick's love for both the sport and college romance definitely shows in this story. In Sacked, we meet Knox Masters, quarterback, NFL recruit and virgin, and Ellie Campbell, transfer student and dutiful sister to her football-playing brother. These two end up tangled in the most delicious way … until adversity strikes. The ending is supersweet and romantic. A must-read for any sports fanatic who likes a side of romance with their football. (Recommended by Rachel Blaufeld)

Giving It All by Arianna Hart. Unrequited love, a wounded warrior, an altruistic young woman and a failing business all add up to having to give it all. The ending of the book is very satisfying and is an HEA with a resolution to the mystery they've been trying to trace. Very enjoyable read and highly recommended. (Recommended by Becky Condit)
