The Supreme Court struck down bans against gay marriage nationwide Friday, extending a basic right to so many Americans who had been shut out of the opportunity for legal recognition of life-long partnerships. Some conservative presidential candidates felt so threatened by the 5-4 decision, according to Bill Maher, that they thought it was mandatory for the entire country to develop same-sex relationships. Hear what Maher said to quickly dispel them of that notion in today's webisode of Punchlines.

Opening up marriage to all is a brilliant stride, but late-night comic and host of Last Week Tonight John Oliver takes a look at what still needs to happen for full equality for the LGBT community, including how transgender men and women should be addressed.
