Eric Trump: GOP getting behind my dad

Eric Trump sees Republicans falling in line behind his dad and a potential thawing from some of Donald Trump’s biggest critics within the party.

“It's really about the party. You have to remember with Lindsey Graham, with Jeb, these things are so vicious inside, right? I mean they're so hard. People put their whole lives on the line," the younger Trump said on Fox & Friends Monday about the nasty primary fight.

"It does hurt to lose and sometimes it takes a little while to warm up and that’s what’s happening and you're seeing that with Lindsey, and you're seeing that with Jeb and I think you’re going to see it with all of the others as well," he added.

The “warm(ing) up” he sees from the South Carolina senator stems from a CNN report that Graham privately encouraged Republicans to back the presumptive Republican nominee during a fundraiser over the weekend.

Graham has said he will not be backing Trump or former secretary of State Hillary Clinton. And his communications director has repeated that claim and called the CNN story “pretty thinly sourced.”

“There has been no change in Senator Graham's position. Still focused on helping GOP retain House and the Senate majorities,” Kevin Bishop said via Twitter.

Bush — who has also said he would not be voting for Trump, along with his brother and father — said in Amsterdam over the weekend that Trump voters should be respected.

“What I fear is that people, kind of looking down their nose, will say the people that are supporting Donald Trump are a bunch of idiots. They're not. They're legitimately scared. They're fearful,” the former Florida governor said.

Trump’s son, who is an executive vice president of development & acquisition for the Trump Organization, saw those comments as a step in the right direction Monday.

"People want to see us beat Hillary. We will beat Hillary, and the party is coming around in a big way, in a really big way," he said.
