Thanks to FC Dallas, a U.S. veteran and his family will have a new home.

During a post-game celebration on July 4, the team (in partnership with nonprofit Operation Finally Home) announced that U.S. Army Sergeant First Class Jerry Holcomb (plus his wife and two sons) will be the owners of a new, custom-built, mortgage-free house.

Holcomb, who served 13 years in the U.S. Army, was speechless. When asked how he was feeling, he said through tears:

“A loss for words.”
