Terrell Owens was a guest on Mike and Mike this week (a show our own Chris Korman just wrote a lovely profile of) and during his appearance he lashed out at former Vikings wide receiver and frequent Mike and Mike guest Cris Carter, who has criticized Owens’ behavior in the past.
“[Cris Carter] is a guy that’s criticized me plenty of times, for anything. For me, that was something that motivated me….For somebody like that, for Cris Carter to come out and say something like that, I just felt like it was disrespectful. And so now, when you look at where I am statistically, I’ve surpassed him. And from what I’ve heard, from a lot of guys, he begged his way into the Hall of Fame.”
The hosts then challenged Owens that Carter’s stats are pretty clear cut worth a spot in Canton, which he conceded.
Carter then went on Twitter to respond, and to the disappointment of people who love beef, he took the high road.
