Scottish tennis star Andy Murray’s wife Kim Sears has given birth to a baby girl. The news was confirmed by Shirley Erskine, Andy Murray’s grandmother.
Speaking from her home in Dunblane, Mrs Erskine said: “I am absolutely delighted, as you can imagine. It seems a long time that we’ve been waiting for this but all’s well now as far as I know.
“I don’t have any details I just know that I’ve got a great granddaugher so that is just lovely.”
Much of Britain (or at least Murray’s childhood hometown of Dunblane, Scotland) appears to be celebrating the new addition to the family.
Miss Murray sausages. It doesn’t get much more Scottish than that.
