Kanye teases 'Pablo' tour, compares it to 'Star Wars'

Kanye West called into The Steve Harvey Morning Show Tuesday for an impromptu chat, teasing his still-unannounced tour for The Life of Pablo and, yet again, talking about his "imma let you finish" outburst on MTV.

Or maybe he just needed an excuse to distract us from those colored contacts he wore to the Met Gala Monday night.

We're still processing this look.

"My tour game is unprecedented," he bragged, teasing a September launch and some very ambitious inspirations. "I'm trying to literally inspire these kids the way Disney inspired me, the way, you know, when I saw the original Star Wars."

In addition to childhood nostalgia, West also has another meaningful Star Wars connection; way before he and Kim started dating, they dressed up as a Stormtrooper and Princess Leia in 2003 for West's never-aired Comedy Central pilot Alligator Boots, Kim explained in a post on her website.

“We had met before this project (back in 2003), but I would say this is when we first really connected,” she wrote.

West also seized the opportunity on Harvey's show to talk about his infamous VMAs stage-crashing, claiming that MTV set Taylor Swift up to win the night's top award.

"As soon as Britney shaved her head and they saw the money going down, they had already marked what that award was gonna be that night." he said. "But they didn't expect no activist that had just lost his momma [sitting there] with a bottle of Hennessy."

While Kanye's status as an "activist" is questionable, his motivation for drinking a little too much isn't. "The only reason why I drank the Hennessy in the first place was because I said, 'Imma have to just get drunk to deal with all the lies I'm about to see.'" Knocking a few drinks back to prepare for an awards show full of unpleasant surprises — hey, we've all been there, right?
