Your Take contributor David Carlos will always remember 2014 because of this sunset.

On the last Friday of the year, he decided to take his bike out because the sun was shining and Carlos took the long way home on his 2001 Triumph Thunderbird in Edmonds, Wash.

"The day was sunny and lovely, so I wanted to soak it all in before the sun went down," Carlos says. "That's why I didn't go home immediately."

On the way, Carlos pulled over to take this waterfront view with his iPhone 5s. Though the weather was chilly, he says the sunset was remarkable.

Carlos used Picasa for auto contrast, graduated tint and HDR.
