LANCASTER, Pa. — The story of how Brooke Pancake came to own one of the most envied bags in golf is relatively simple: Her last name is Pancake and she’s an exciting, young golf prospect. It was the perfect opportunity for Waffle House to put one over on IHOP and sponsor Pancake — so they did. The 25-year-old LPGA Tour player announced the news back in January.
At the U.S. Open on Tuesday, Brooke talked about what a crowd favorite the bag has become:
“It’s so funny, I love it. It’s always a crowd pleaser. Everywhere I go, there’s always someone yelling about it.”
