North Carolina coach Roy Williams is not expected to miss any practices or games after collapsing on the sideline Tuesday night during the Tar Heels' game against Boston College, a UNC spokesman told USA TODAY Sports on Wednesday afternoon.

North Carolina Tar Heels head coach Roy Williams collapsed in the team's game against Boston College on Tuesday.

The spokesman, Steve Kirschner, said the Tar Heels did not have practice scheduled for Wednesday anyway.

Williams' collapse was a result of benign positional vertigo, he said after the game Tuesday. The 65-year-old coach said the condition is triggered by sudden head movements.

"I'm alive. I'm kicking," Williams said Tuesday. "I've had some vertigo attacks over the last 17 or 18 years. This is the first time I really had one during a game. I said something to the referee. I didn't respond correctly to his response. I kind of whirled around and that's when it hit."
