Jordan Spieth wants to serve Texas barbecue at his Masters champions dinner

Jordan Spieth still has a few months to decide on his dinner menu for the 2016 Masters Champions Dinner, an annual tradition which involves the winner of the previous year’s tournament serving his meal of choice to other former champions. The dish usually involves something extravagant — Nick Faldo once had fish and chips flown-in from his native England — and it almost always always involves the country’s homeland.

For Spieth that means something Texas, and although he hasn’t made any final decisions yet, he’s got a pretty good idea in motion. According to Golf News Net:

“I’ve still got a bit of time before I have to advise the officials at Augusta National but I am leaning towards a Texas-like barbecue. So it will be a choice of Texan meats as my main meal choice.”

That’s a wide array of options so there’s lots of work left to be done, but it’s certainly off to a promising start.
