Watch: Mother panda helps her cub Bei Bei climb down a tree at National Zoo

Bei Bei, a panda cub at the Smithsonian's National Zoo, recently tried to climb up a tree.

One problem: He got stuck. And it was adorable.

Thankfully Bei's mother, Mei Xang, was there to help him down.

The zoo captured video of the moment and posted it to Twitter:

Awwwwwww.

Bei Bei, a giant panda who debuted at the zoo in December, appears regularly in the zoo's Giant Panda Cam.

The zoo calls giant pandas, native to China, a symbol of endangered species as few as 1,864 exist in the wild.

Onlookers have followed Bei Bei's every broadcasted move since his debut.

His first time outside, cameras captured an attempt at climbing a tree, which also ended in adorable failure:
