Christmas decorations in stores? Yes, happening now

Halloween hasn't happened yet. Never mind, Thanksgiving.

But that isn't stopping some stores across the USA from gearing up for the Christmas holiday season by putting out decorations.

Kmart posted a holiday layaway commercial on YouTube on Sept. 5, calling it "ridiculous to think about Christmas now," "ridiculous to take your gifts home today, avoiding the holiday rush," but also "ridiculously awesome."

Jim Doyle alerted WTSP-TV to a Florida Ace Hardware store that is currently displaying Christmas items galore. And he's not the only one talking about stores like Target and Walmart decking their halls with Christmas goodies on social media.

People are buying them. Even if they hate themselves for it.

Or complaining about their early presence.

Either way, Christmas is coming.
