Your guide to every 'Lion King' project, ever

Disney has some Lion King news for you. But first, let's properly set the mood.

Yeah, that's more like it.

Now, as we were saying ...  Disney Channel is set to debut a new sequel, The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar, on Sunday, Nov. 22 (7 p.m. ET/PT). It focuses on Kion, the second-born son of Simba and Nala and the commander the Lion Guard, a sort of Seal Team Six of the savanna. Taking a cue from Simba, who was raised partly by a meerkat and a warthog after the death of Mufasa, Kion is looking to populate his A-team with critters from outside the pride. Among his recruits: a honey badger, cheetah hippo and egret.
