LOS ANGELES — Adele's new album, already a best-seller for 2015, won't play on Spotify or Apple Music — but you can hear it on Pandora, much to the delight of Pandora's  investors.

Pandora (P) shares rose as much as 5.8% Wednesday after an Entertainment Weekly report pointed out that the complete 25 album by British singer Adele was available for listening, albeit by piece-meal, on the streaming music radio station.

Pandora doesn't offer on-demand listening to albums; instead it creates "stations" based on your tastes, and will let you hear three specific cuts by that artist per hour.

Adele channeled her 'early-life crisis' into long-awaited new album, '25'

Like pop star Taylor Swift and a handful of others, Adele had made 25 unavailable for streaming on Spotify and other services, in a bid to boost sales of the physical album and downloads.

A loophole in music licensing laws gave Pandora and other streaming radio stations like iHeartRadio and Slacker access to the complete 25 album, which sold 3 million copies in its first week. Paid streaming services like privately-held Spotify and Apple Music don't have access to the complete album for their subscribers.

Surprise! Adele slays 'Hello,' even with classroom instruments

Pandora stock closed at $13.82, up 4.5% for the day. Shares have sunk 39% from hitting a 52-week high in September.

Adele's single Hello is available on Spotify and Apple Music. Five complete songs—including TV and live versions of new songs, are available YouTube, including Hello, When We Were Young, Water Under the Bridge, Million Years Ago and You'll Never See Me Again —just not the complete version of the album.
