Winnipeg Jets defenseman Dustin Byfuglien had to serve a four-game suspension near the end of the season for cross-checking.

Monday, in Game 3, he shoved Corey Perry to the ice from behind after the Anaheim Ducks star scored to make it 2-1.

Byfuglien received a two-minute minor for roughing. Not saying that he’ll get a suspension for his Monday action, but he did have a second or so to change his mind before he punched/grabbed the back of Perry’s head and pushed him down hard.

Perry got up relatively quickly and remained in the game.

Update

The league said Tuesday there would be no supplementary discipline in the Byfuglien case.
