National Park Week means no entrance fees

National Park Week is coming, and that means anyone can get into any national park for free starting Saturday.

There are more than 400 national parks across the country, and 127 of those charge an admission fee, according to the U.S. National Park Service. During the annual National Park Week, which falls between April 16 and 24, all entrance fees are waived with the help of the National Park Foundation.

Find the park closest to you with this handy map.

If you're really feeling ambitious, the National Park Foundation has put together four road trip itineraries — whether you prefer the east coast or the west, you can find a trip that will appeal to you.

There will be events during the week.

April 16 is National Junior Ranger Day. It's a day dedicated to kids, offering special programs and badges at some parks.

On April 23, share your visit with the National Park Instameet — share group photos on social media with the hashtags #FindYourParkInstaMeet,

#FindYourPark, #EncuentraTuParque and #NPS100. Finally, April 24 is Park Rx Day with park programs dedicated to your health and well-being.

In honor of the week, Twitter is releasing an emoji to temporarily follow the hashtags #FindYourPark or #EncuentraTuParque.

If you can't make it to your favorite before the week is up, don't fret. This August the park service turns 100, so this summer is a great time to visit.

Happy traveling!
