Playlist: What's Andy Grammer listening to?
With Honey, I'm Good, Andy Grammer has the biggest hit of his career. Fans of his Magazines or Novels album, as well as his self-titled 2011 debut, have known for a while the singer-songwriter has a knack for memorable melodies and lyrics, though. Grammer's also got good taste when it comes to what he listens to. Here, he shares some favorites with USA TODAY.
All Time Low, Jon Bellion
This dude is super original. All of his beats and songs have such a deeeeep pocket. Can't get enough of him lately.
Ordinary Heart, Emily King
Her voice is soothing and sweet but her beats slap hard. Lyrically really strong.
Jealous, Labrinth
One of the best lyrics I've heard in a while, and his gravelly voice totally sells it. This song will make you cry.
Coffee, Miguel
A mid tempo jam. Super vibey and tasty. Miguel has swag.
Thin Line, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis
Awesome mixture of rap and indie-rock vocals. Subject matter of casual love is tackled perfectly.
Sound & Color, Alabama Shakes
So much stank. Brittany Howard's voice is so incredible. This is something very real in an over-produced landscape.
Shots, Imagine Dragons
Lyrically, I always love what these guys do. They know how to go deep and make it painful and cool.
Diamonds on the Soles of Her Shoes, Paul Simon
I love African music. Always have. This record makes me so happy.
Gold in Timbuktu, K'naan
One of my favorite beats ever. That mid tempo head-banger. The melody is so sweet, but the beat is kicking.
Viices, Made In Heights
Suuuuuper fresh sounding. Been a fan of this duo since they came out. It's great life music.
