Ravens edge out Browns on last-second blocked FG return for TD

These two teams basically went into their Monday Night Football clash with just about nothing to play for – neither the Cleveland Browns nor the Baltimore Ravens were (or are, rather) anywhere close to even being able to look at the AFC wild card picture. And yet, we were gifted with a wonderfully dumb finish.

Things were tied up at 27 with seconds left to play, and the Browns started Browns-ing.

With a Ravens blitz caving in, Browns backup quarterback Austin Davis made a heads up play and scrambled for some much needed yardage. After all, all they needed to do was get into field goal range.  Thing is, Davis didn’t have the presence of mind to slide out of bounds. So then the Browns had to put up a 51-yard prayer.

But, you know, Browns.

Brent Urban blocked the kick, and Ravens safety Will Hill scooped it up and ran it all the way back for a walk off kick-six, thus completing a 33-27 win.

Cheer up, Cleveland. At least you still have LeBron?
