Ariana Grande won't be charged for licking donuts on July 4, according to reports.

So long, Donutgate.

Ariana Grande will not be charged for her notorious July 4 donut-licking escapade, according to TMZ and People.

The pop singer, who was caught on security cameras licking a tray of pastries she had not paid for at Wolfee Donuts in Lake Elsinore, Calif. (while saying "I hate America"), has since issued two public apologies.

The first landed with a thud, with Grande blaming obesity in America for her actions. The second, a video apology, attempted to sprinkle some sugar over the situation.

"Seeing a video of yourself behaving poorly that you had no idea was taken was such a rude awakening," said Grande, her cheeks puffy after wisdom teeth removal surgery. "I was disgusted with myself."

Meanwhile, the bakery's owners declined to press criminal charges against Grande for deliberate food tampering, according to Riverside County Sheriff's Department. (A kind move, after Wolfee Donuts was demoted to a 'B' health rating after the incident.)

California law requires restaurants to keep food products protected from the public.

While Grande and her boyfriend, backup dancer Ricky Alvarez "were appearing to maliciously lick donuts that were on a display shelf," according to the police report, "we were actually stocking up," bakery owner Joe Marin told People. "My employees kept going in the back and grabbing some more...they were minor things: little, tiny, minor things that were fixed in three days."
