Former Florida State star E.J. Manuel has only played in 19 games over the course of his his three-year NFL career so far, but he managed to set a new record for international futility Sunday in London. Manuel started for the Bills in a 34-31 loss to the Jaguars at Wembley Stadium, becoming the first NFL quarterback to lose a game in three different countries as noted by Buffalo Rumblings.
Manuel started the last game in the Bills’ Toronto series in 2013, a 34-31 overtime loss to the Falcons in the Rogers Centre. Manuel passed for 210 yards with one touchdown and rushed for a touchdown, but a fumble in overtime by Scott Chandler set up the Falcons to kick a game-winning field goal.
Manuel has a more respectable 6-8 career record in games started on American soil.
