Tech Five: AMD shares plummet

Shares of Advanced Micro Devices plummeted nearly 14% in after hours trading Monday, after the company significantly cut its second-quarter sales outlook.

Let's take a look at the tech stocks to watch Tuesday:

Advanced Micro Devices (AMD): Company shares were down more than 17% Tuesday morning. AMD previously expected its second quarter revenue to be down 3% from the first quarter, however increased the projected fall to 8% due to weak personal computer demand.

GoPro (GPRO): GoPro's newest camera is the size of an ice cube, but the price of an Apple Watch. The GoPro Hero4 Session will go on sale July 12 for around $400, and is the company's smallest camera yet. Company shares were up nearly 1% during morning trading.

Amazon (AMZN): Amazon said Monday that it plans to host a sale next week that may rival Black Friday. The event, called Prime Day, will be held July 15 and will offer exclusive deals across several categories to Prime members.

Sony (SNE): Yahoo Japan will invest $14.7 million for its Sony Real Estate venture, according to The Wall Street Journal. After the deal is complete, Sony will own 56.3% of the real estate firm, while Yahoo Japan will own the remaining 43.7%. Shares of Sony were slightly up during morning trading.

Google (GOOG): The Federal Communications Commission approved a new Google device called "GG1," which leads to speculation if the next version of the Google Glass could be close at hand. No details about the new device have been disclosed, however Droid Life reports that the device has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and a battery you cannot change.
