Food trucks: Portable, cheap and innovative. Here, Tara Henry eats a slice of Stone Oven Pizza at The Yard, a new food truck park in downtown Wichita Falls, Texas.

Move over, Maine lobster and Kentucky fried chicken. Quirky takes on regional delicacies are rolling into town — literally.

Yes, we're talking food trucks.

Hungry adventurers have gotten their gourmet fix at trucks for years in such cities as New York, Austin and Portland, Ore.. But the fun, cheap and mobile twist that food trucks offer is also attainable across the USA.

USA TODAY Network scoped (and salivated over) a food truck and selected dish from each of the 50 states and Washington, D.C. Check out the cool, highly rated and inexpensive grub. Prices, when available, have been noted.

Warning: You may never feel compelled to sit in a restaurant again.

Note: There are a plethora of highly rated, remarkable food trucks in the USA. This is simply a selection of one per state. Feel free to write about your can't-miss truck in the comments section.
