Community's Donald Glover will get to show off his musical side in his new FX comedy series, Atlanta.

Donald Glover will produce and star in a 10-episode FX comedy, 'Atlanta,'

The cable network Thursday ordered 10 episodes of the half-hour series, which was created by and will star Glover. It is scheduled to premiere in 2016.

Atlanta focuses on two cousins who are rising in the city's rap scene. Brian Tyree Henry, who has appeared in Boardwalk Empire and The Knick, will play rap artist Alfred Miles and Glover, who played Troy on Community, will portray Earnest "Earn" Marks, who wants to be cousin Alfred's manager.

Lakeith Lee Stanfield (Dope, Selma) and Zazie Beetz (Applesauce) also star.

“Atlanta draws on Donald’s considerable talents as a musician, actor and writer to give us something unique,” said Nick Grad, FX president of original programming. “The story is made all the more powerful by the great cast and the contributions of Donald’s fellow executive producer, Paul Simms, and director Hiro Murai. We can’t wait to for the debut of Atlanta next year.”

In addition to acting on Community, Glover was a writer for 30 Rock.
