Mophie, the company that makes phone cases that double as battery chargers, has quietly produced a brilliant Super Bowl XLIX commercial. The ad features an apocalyptic scene in which the world literally seems to be falling apart. A Ferris wheel rolls down the street, a dog is walking its owner, there’s a hurricane in Nebraska — even gravity doesn’t seem to exist anymore.
As Adweek points out, “All Powerless” was created by Deutsch L.A., which also made the mega-viral 2011 Volkswagen spot starring a pint-sized Darth Vader. The Mophie ad ends with a great twist. But watch to find out. It’s worth it:
