Caitlyn Jenner's Malibu car crash in February may have legal consequences.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department spokesperson Nicole Nishida confirms to USA TODAY that due to the death of Kim Howe, 69, "the case will be presented next week to the district attorney's office for a possible misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter charge."

It will be up to the district attorney to file charges, if any.

According to TMZ, a newly completed report concludes Jenner was traveling under the speed limit but going too fast for road conditions. The findings reportedly explain traffic was either stopped or just starting to move when Jenner slammed into the Lexus in front of her.

Jenner was going north on the Pacific Coast Highway when her black Cadillac Escalade rear-ended a Lexus sedan that had just struck the back of a black Toyota Prius. The Lexus veered into oncoming traffic in a southbound lane and collided head-on with a black Hummer. The four-car crash killed Howe, and seven other people sustained minor to moderate injuries.

Jenner has since been hit with lawsuits from Howe's stepchildren and another woman involved in the crash.

At the time of the accident, Jenner cooperated with investigators, passed a field sobriety test and voluntarily submitted a blood sample.
