Vin Scully has been the Dodgers broadcaster for the last 66 years.

LOS ANGELES – Broadcasting legend Vin Scully will miss the postseason after undergoing an undisclosed medical procedure, the Los Angeles Dodgers announced Thursday.

Scully, 87, recently committed to returning to the Dodgers’ booth next year for a 67th and final season. He was scheduled to call the team’s postseason games on radio.

The Dodgers said in a news release that the Hall of Fame announcer had the procedure Thursday morning and “is resting comfortably.’’

Scully first started calling Dodgers games in 1950, when the club was in Brooklyn.

Scully missed the final series of the regular season with what the club termed a cold.
