Online ticket seller StubHub has a new partner for its concert discovery app on iOS: Spotify.

The company announced its app StubHub Music will integrate with Spotify, adding another avenue for discovering concerts and other events.

For those new to the StubHub app, which launched in fall 2013, here's how it works: It scans your Spotify library to tell users when their favorite performers will appear live in concert near their home. The app already offers scanning for users' iTunes libraries.

"We are constantly thinking of ways to create a personalized experience for our fans, says Gary Kanazawa, head of StubHub Labs, in a statement Thursday. "StubHub Music is intended to help fans make sure they are not missing their favorite artists when they come to town."

Along with discovering new music and finding local concerts, users can share event details with friends and purchase tickets directly from the app.

The latest update also includes a "Music News" section with interviews and videos from the StubHub Music Experience at South by Southwest (SXSW), which kicks off March 13.
