Angels broadcaster and former Major League infielder Jose Mota apparently brings his glove to games, which makes sense: His broadcast booth sits right in the line of fire for balls fouled back behind the plate and above Angel Stadium’s protective netting.

Mota thrilled the crowd and protected his broadcast partner by flashing some leather on a foul ball in Monday night’s game against the Mariners. Maybe it looks like a routine catch, but try making it while simultaneously calling the game:

Note to self: Try to set up near ex-MLB players wearing baseball gloves whenever possible in open-air press boxes. Computers aren’t cheap, and there’s no way I can match Mota’s focus or hands.
