'Robots' try to rattle Rubio

A police officer tells an anti-Marco Rubio demonstrator dressed as a robot not to block the sidewalk outside the polling place Tuesday at Webster School in Manchester, N.H.

New Hampshire is experiencing a rash of robot sightings.

Not to worry. It's a actually protesters trying to capitalize on the criticism leveled at Florida Sen. Marco Rubio for what opponents (see Christie, Chris) said was an overly scripted performance at Saturday's GOP presidential candidate debate.

In one encounter Tuesday, someone dressed as a robot and holding a sign saying “#RobotRubio” confronted Rubio supporters at Webster School in Manchester, a polling site for New Hampshire's first-in-the-nation primary. The Rubio supporters responded by pushing and shoving the makeshift automaton.

Another "robot" appears in the same video, this one wearing a collander helmet and a cardboard box bearing the words "Rubio Talking Point 3000." The box also says "AB21.org," a reference to American Bridge, a liberal organization that likes to go after Republicans.

That same robots also show up at a polling place in Manchester, where one is flung to the ground about the same time Rubio steps off a campaign bus. American Bridge has posted a link of the two-minute, shaky-cam video of the encounter on its website.
