'The Flash' gets a visit from the Pied Piper (Andrew Mientus).

The Flash

CW, 8 ET/PT

It's about time the possibly nefarious Dr. Wells (Tom Cavanagh, one of the many good things about this entertaining show) got a nemesis of his own. The threat arrives as Hartley Rathaway (Smash's Andrew Mientus), but he'll soon be known as The Pied Piper, thanks to the comic books and a likely on-air assist from Cisco (Carlos Valdes). The episode also gives us a bit of Cisco's back story, which is good, because Valdes is another reason this show works as well as it does.

Agent Carter
ABC, 9 ET/PT

Dominic Cooper returns as Howard Stark, which means Peggy is most likely about to find out he's lied to her and is using her. Which also means you probably would not want to be Howard when Peggy makes this discovery. For comic-book fans, tonight also offers a bonus cameo appearance by a true genre star: Stan Lee.

CSI
CBS, 10 ET/PT

The CSI mothership, which has been languishing a bit on Sundays, gets a special Tuesday airing tonight — and a well-timed one at that, as its ABC and NBC competitors are repeats. Tonight's crime involves a vintage Rolls Royce and a chrome-covered victim, which sounds very CSI. Well, except to those of us who automatically think Burke's Law when we hear "Rolls Royce," but we, admittedly, are few in number.
