Man pinned between two semi trucks on Saturday.

One man who was involved in a crash on I-84 near Baker City, Ore., this weekend appears to have made quite an escape.

Sergi Karplyuk, who was also involved in the crash Saturday, says he took a photo of a truck driver that was pinned between two semi-trucks.

The photo shows the driver, Kaleb Whitby, peeking out of what's left of his four-door Chevy pickup.

Witnesses say the driver escaped with just a scratch on his head.

Whitby told CNN that he ran into the back of a jackknifed truck, which flipped his vehicle over. He then saw the lights of another semi-truck coming toward him.

"When I saw those lights coming, I knew he was going to hit me," Whitby told the news organization. "And then I closed my eyes and prayed that everything turned out OK. That was all I could do."

He says he gripped the steering wheel and heard nothing but breaking glass and metal getting crushed. He was frightened that his life was about to end.

He waited for a period of silence before trying to free himself. He was able to get out with the help of others, suffering only a bruised left eye and scratches to his arm, according to CNN.
