The Matt Ryan-Julio Jones connection in Atlanta looks to be locked in for years to come.

Jones agreed to a five-year extension with the Falcons on Saturday, the team announced before its preseason game with the Miami Dolphins. Terms of the contract were not disclosed, but ESPN and NFL Network reported the deal was worth $71.25 million with $47.5 million guaranteed.

“We could not be more thrilled to make Julio a Falcon for life,” Falcons owner Arthur Blank told the team's website. “Julio has established himself as one of the top wide receivers in the NFL during his career and has already set the franchise record for receiving yards in a season. I am extremely proud of what he has accomplished and he has just begun to scratch the surface in terms of his potential.”

Jones had been entering the final year of his contract. The No. 6 pick in the 2011 draft was third in the NFL last season with 104 catches for 1,593 yards.

Ryan is signed through the 2018 season with the Falcons.
