Future performs at the BET Awards at the Microsoft Theater on Sunday, June 28, 2015, in Los Angeles.

Future takes the No. 1 spot on the Billboard albums chart this week, ashis DS2 more than doubles the total of his previous best sales week.

The hip-hop star's third album sold 121,000 copies in its first, according to Nielsen Music, easily giving him the chart's top spot. It's his first No. 1, according to Billboard.

Taylor Swift's 1989 holds steady at No. 2, followed by country singer Alan Jackson's new Angels and Alcohol, which debuted at No. 3. Last week's No. 1 album, Tyrese's Black Rose, falls to the No. 4 spot this week.

Jason Isbell's Something More Than Free enters the chart at No. 5, by far the best-showing of the singer-songwriter's career. "Truly never though I'd see the day," Isbell said on Facebook, adding that he planned to celebrate by listening to Nirvana.

After Meek Mill's Dreams Worth More Than Money at No. 6 comes Tame Impala's first top-10 entry, Currents, debuting at No. 7. The Billboard top 10 finishes with Ed Sheeran's X, Sam Hunt's Montevallo and the Kidz Bop Kids' Kidz Bop 29.
