Kobe Bryant announces this will be his last season

Kobe Bryant, in an open letter on the website the Players Tribune, said this will be his last season.

In what he called "Dear Basketball," Bryant wrote:

"This season is all I have left to give.
My heart can take the pounding
My mind can handle the grind
But my body knows it’s time to say goodbye."

Commissioner Adam Silver released a statement regarding Bryant's announcement:
