Athletes express supreme disappointment in Meek Mill over Drake diss, 'Wanna Know'

On Thursday night, after Meek Mill tweeted accusations that Drake used a ghostwriter and Drake threw two shots back, Meek finally released a diss track of his own, “Wanna Know.”

And it wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t very good either. And definitely not good enough. Everyone on Twitter took the opening to get some jokes off, including a couple of athletes who sounded off on the situation. “Charged Up” still takes the cake, according to Kevin Durant.

Harrison Barnes and Isaiah Thomas were mostly just disappointed.

Le’Veon Bell flat out thought that “Wanna Know” was awful, and that Nicki Minaj should’ve written Meek’s rhymes for him. It definitely couldn’t have hurt.

And then Anthony Morrow came through with perhaps the most fair and balanced critique of the night.

That’s a bit optimistic, but Morrow’s probably right. This isn’t over, although itΒ really feels like it is.
