Baker Mayfield, Samaje Perine to play vs. Oklahoma State

Oklahoma, playing to remain in the College Football Playoff chase, will have its backfield at full strength Saturday night when it faces Oklahoma State in the annual Bedlam game.

The status of the quarterback Mayfield, fifth in the most recent Gannett Heisman Survey, was of particular interest since he went out of the Sooners' last game with TCU with a headache after a big hit.

Running backs Samaje Perine and Joe Mixon also suffered ankle injuries in the game.

On Friday morning, Oklahoma released a statement from coach Bob Stoops that read, "Baker Mayfield and Samaje Perine practiced all week, and Joe Mixon has practiced every day since Wednesday. All three are expected to play tomorrow."

The game is set to kick off at 8 p.m. ET in Stillwater, Okla., and is scheduled to air on ABC.
