Watch: Avengers duke it out in first 'Civil War' trailer

Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) sits by a fallen War Machine (Don Cheadle) in "Captain America: Civil War."

What's that old saying? You only hurt the ones you love? Well, it looks like a whole bunch of Avenger friends will be doling pain on one another in Captain America: Civil War, the next Marvel movie (out May 6) pitting Chris Evans' Cap vs. Robert Downey Jr.'s Iron Man. Check out the first teaser now!

For those wondering where all the supervillains are, they're not calling this Civil War for nothing. Coming off the heels of the Ant-Man credit scene, where Cap and Falcon (Anthony Mackie) find Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) in a bad way, the new movie seems to indicate that Winter Soldier's being blamed for yet another international incident, which leads to Sokovia Accords — named for the last international incident involving an Eastern European country almost being destroyed by a killer robot (see: Avengers: Age of Ultron). The government wants some oversight of the Avengers, Cap's not pleased, Iron Man's not pleased with Cap, and thus leads to Iron Man getting the crap beat out of him by the tag team of Cap and Winter Soldier.

Here are some of the explosive highlights in GIF form:

Like we said, explosions

This seems to be an inciting incident. And Falcon looks pretty concerned about it.

Cap's got some kick

'Nuff said.

The first confrontation

Tony Stark wants to have a chat with Cap. This probably won't end well.

#SUPERBUDDIES4LIFE

"I love you, Cap." "I know."

Avengers ... disassemble?

Iron Man and War Machine (Don Cheadle) face off with Team Cap, which includes Winter Soldier, Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner).

Enter Black Panther

The Wakandan warrior played by Chadwick Boseman makes his debut here, and things get kicky.

Tag team, back again

Cap and Winter Soldier break out the ever-lovin' whuppin' stick — in this case, Cap's vibranium shield — on Iron Man.

NOW BEHOLD THE FIRST POSTER!

Cap vs. Iron Man. May 6. Be there.
